Phyllis Toben Bancroft
Phyllis Toben Bancroft is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and teaching artist whose work explores identity, memory, resilience, and transformation. An alumna of the AFI Conservatory’s Producing program, she has directed projects for BET and created acclaimed independent films that have screened at festivals nationwide. Her short film ...with salt received multiple awards for directing, performance, and screenplay. Through her films and creative programs, Phyllis is committed to telling emotionally rich stories centered on women, people of color, and voices too often left at the margins.
